The Problem

A Digital Strategy

As so many organizations work toward transforming the entire user experience through digital technology, our client was no different. They recognized much of their current digital strategy requirement modernization to achieve strategic business goals. Not just new technology , but sound business process change/reengineering to maximize the overall guest experience from beginning to end. As such, they made the decision to invest major capital dollars to achieve this new vision and strategy but recognized the need for a strategic partner to aid in the journey. Much of this journey would consist of both enterprise digital technology ( mobile, web, IOT,) as well as enterprise infrastructure/security alignment, so an approach that allowed for enterprise collaboration was paramount. For a client, to see a significant business impact both in revenue growth and customer satisfaction, it would be critical to select a partner with proven experience in the program and project management expertise.  Specifically, a partner who could help start and provide advice on their PMO strategy while also providing superb talent to execute.

Prescribing A Digital Transformation

Through careful consideration and diligence from our client,  Integris Group was selected as their partner to help achieve this critical journey. As we approach so many of our partnerships, we knew this effort would require trust, transparency, and significant collaboration.  Knowing what the end state result of success would look like in their stakeholders’ eyes was paramount. Through our joined efforts we prioritized not only what we believed would be highest value in terms of projects, but also organized the resource plan. Our solution for this Enterprise initiative consisted of several Senior level PM’s. Given the nature of multiple projects within the portfolio, we made the recommendation of dividing Project Managers into select projects, with precise expertise in specific areas from a PM perspective, working with their Program Manager and Executive leadership team. As an example, we had one team with strong expertise in Mobile and web guest facing technologies, and another team focused on Global infrastructure and security with specialized backgrounds in the same guest facing domain. The methodology and approach we selected with our partner, was heavy agile focus with epics and stories, but we also recognized the need to be flexible in some cases and at times to use a hybrid approach to existing methodologies, based on what was believed was best for the business. The solution was extremely focused on product and guest experience, given the way the organization operates and their audience being so external.  We developed a weekly cadence and steering committee meetings with agreed on deliverables  and were maniacal about the collaboration during these meetings to ensure transparency, ROI, and success.

Project Management Excellence

Given the nature of how quickly this effort needed to be solutioned and started, we knew that showing very fast business value would be instrumental for our partners. Our entire team was assembled in less than 3 weeks, and due to the immediate and quick impact, Integris Group was selected as their sole partner for all continued work within the PMO space.  We were told that much of this decision was because of the quality and precision of our consultants, but also because of the flexibility and trust our services practice has provided.  We have had zero turnover on this project thus far, and timelines and expectations have been exceeded offering a lot of trust to our stakeholders. We are honored to have achieved these results, but there is still a lot of work to be done, and this is an ongoing digital program that will span several years.  We look forward in continuing to exceed our clients’ expectations, and most importantly always providing transparency and integrity, the reason our client has told us they love partnering with Integris Group so much.
